It’s tough running a label solo, and even more so when the industry rewards popularity instead of quality.  Being a small, independent label got MOTF stuck in a catch-22, too small to appeal to rising artists, and therefore not able to grow as a label.  The SF bay area scene is also too small for all of the competition in the market, especially with 2 large corporate entities having a firm grip and fighting for dominance.  It was a fun run, and some great times were had, but this is coming to an end.  Thank you to everyone that streamed the releases (which are still out everywhere), grabbed some merch or came to one of our events.  And thank you to the artists that signed with the label, I hope these releases helped further your creative endeavors.
